MIDI Player Considerations MIDI Player Considerations

Be aware that a number of MIDI player constraints should be considered. Due to the nature of the MIDI being developed outside of the ONE MkII environment the following points should be taken into account.

MIDI Player Considerations MIDI Player Considerations diagram: Functional Constraints & Comments
  • MIDI Note On/Off data is imported. Other MIDI data such as CC, Sysex and Pitchbend will be ignored.
  • MIDI pattern should be a maximum length of 8 bars, single track and a maximum polyphony of 7 notes. There are ~1280 events available per pattern, quantized at 24 PPQ.
  • Scale is forced to chromatic / root C when selecting the mode which also means that 'Harmon' is not available.
  • The [Init] and [End] are not available for setting the per sequencer loop and sequencer pages.
  • The [X2] & [/2] options have no effect as the playback is tick based.
  • The [Expand] and [Condense] functions are not available. No grid to scale.
  • The Gen, Random Generator, Track, Step fill/groove and Step Rec all remain silent.
  • The 8 sequencer Mod lanes are available.
